Whole Access is a nonprofit organization dedicated to every person's need to experience nature and outdoor recreation firsthand.

Since 1983, Whole Access has been working to increase opportunities for people of all abilities — including those with disabilities — to participate in outdoor recreation.

Whole Access is the only organization in the country that works exclusively to promote sensible and sensitive accessibility planning for parks and open spaces.

Whole Access works with government officials, park planners, and community leaders to develop park programs and facilities that combine accessibility with sound environmental design. We believe that the natural environment must be kept natural.

With carefully designed trails, visitor centers, and programs parks can be made to welcome everyone. People of all abilities can develop competency in the environment, which enhances self-esteem and a sense of belonging.

Who benefits when the outdoors is more accessible? Families with young children...pregnant women...older people...people with a broad range of disabilities...and friends and families of all of these people. Everyone benefits when the outdoors is made accessible!
