Whole Access works with government officials, park planners, and community leaders to develop park programs and facilities that combine accessibility with sound environmental design. We believe that the natural environment must be kept natural.
With carefully designed trails, visitor centers, and programs parks can be made to welcome everyone. People of all abilities can develop competency in the environment, which enhances self-esteem and a sense of belonging. Who benefits when the outdoors is more accessible? Families with young children...pregnant women...older people...people with a broad range of disabilities...and friends and families of all of these people. Everyone benefits when the outdoors is made accessible!
